Albums are based on and replace the hugely popular 'Old Postcards on CD' collections previously offered by jimwilsonuk only within the UK. Now these collections are available WorldWide
Available (or planned) albums are shown on left - click on the links shown to go to description and download page for that album. Each album contains hundreds of images scanned from old postcards of that area or theme.
ALL ALBUM DOWNLOADS ARE FREE
You only pay if you want to unlock the album to view and use full size images.
Each album is bundled with Vintage Postcard Viewer (VP Viewer) which allows unregistered users to view all the scanned postcards in a thumbnail format.
The VP Viewer main window looks like this:
Images may be stepped through using the arrow controls. The above screenshot shows that the Yorkshire Album is open and a view of Robin Hood's Bay has been selected. Registered users see all description details about the image. They may also view the images at full size, copy them to the clipboard (for use in other applications), view a slideshow and tag favourites. If other albums have been downloaded, changing albums is easy.
The 'Change Albums' button or menu command brings up the above window. This screenshot shows there are two registered albums and at least three unregistered.
To save time finding favourite views again, registered users can tag and store up to 20 favourites for each album. These can be viewed in a favourites window like this (shown over the main viewer window):
